Enneline | I once heard that someone can have the nicest aspects for any kind of talent but if there is no connection to the MC it will be hard for him to create a job of his talents. A friend of mine has a great libra stellium and the nicest aspects that suggest she would be a great designer but this stellium has no connection to her midheaven and indeed she struggles to make money of her creative endeavours. What do you think? P.S. Sorry in case of any English mistakes but I am no native speaker |
Doux Rêve | I think it makes a whole lot of sense. The MC relates to the world out there and if our planets don't connect to it, the world will have trouble seeing our talents and what we are worth. Look to the ruler of the MC and the aspects it makes to other planets, that's also important. Check its house position as well - it can point to the area where the person can be "seen" and put their talents to good use. |
Enneline | The ruler of her MC is Mercury in libra located in her 10th house. Her midheaven is in the 9th house. Everyone considers her as a stylish person and trusts her abilities in terms of fashion but as i said she is not able to turn her talent into cash.I once read about a similar case. That guy had a full pattern of artistic talent but none of these aspects touched the MC. He ended up as a manager and producer of artists- and he was lucky about this development |
Canadiangirl | What if you have venus, mercury and saturn opposition to midheaven? Am I out of luck career wise |

An opposition is an aspect so these planets touch your MC if Saturn opposes your mc it conjuncts your IC. Maybe you are restricted by your home Environment / childhood memories? |
Canadiangirl | Enneline: if Saturn opposes your mc it conjuncts your IC. Maybe you are restricted by your home Environment / childhood memories?--Depends on how you define restricted. I'm dropping in on my elderly parents daily to take care of them. |
